STRESS LEVEL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULL-DAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT AND HALF-DAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the stress level difference between full-day elementary school student and half-day elementary school student. Proposed hypothesis was stress level of full-day elementary school student was higher than stress level of half-day elementary school student. This study employed 40 full-day elementary school students and 40 half-day elementary school students. Data were collected by stress scale. Mann Whitney analysis technique was used to examine stress level difference between two groups. The result showed that z = -7,478 while standard of significance = 0, 00 (p<0, 05), which mean that there was stress level difference between full-day elementary school student and half-day elementary school student. Stress level of full-day elementary school student was higher (82, 90) than stress level of half-day elementary school student (43, 93), therefore the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted.
